Day Counter, Part Deux

Ok, kids, I am SO glad I did this wacky project because I love the end result.
The circles are Ball jar lid inserts, and the rectangles are those tins AOL sends CDs in (Thank you Melissa, for the gift of these, which inspired the design a great deal!) The laminate samples were not all squirreled away into my pockets at Home Depot: I actually had a friend who worked at an industrial design firm, and he gave me about 100 of them last year...these ones work as wipe off surfaces! The numbers are magnets so each month can be adjusted appropriately. The extra magnets are on the side canvases, and even the pen matches the art. Wheeehoo!

Nici!!! This is flippin' BRILLIANT!!!!!

I LOVE THIS!!!! Ok, I can't seem to stop shouting my love for this calendar, but I'll try to tone it down. OH FORGET IT!!! I CAN'T, IT'S TOO GORGEOUS AND CREATIVE AND AMAZING AND SUCH A FREAKIN' GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!

Seriously Nici...the sheer genius of this idea, it blows my mind. I see people using paint chip samples for this, too. I love that you get to have all those colors with the laminate's literally bringing color into the day. I bet that becomes even more colorful when it's winter and the whole world is grey...except for Nici's house, with a brilliant colorful calendar.

Amazing, simply amazing. Are the kids having fun with it? I imagine this would attract children like ducks to water. Lordy, Nici, you're just brilliant.

Love you,
