A bit about the mirror:
This mirror has a wooden frame that has been collaged with various papers, and then muted with a wash of thinned gesso. The result is a soft, antique white effect. Since mirrors are notoriously hard to photograph, I have snapped pics of some of the details for a closer look. The mirror measures @ 8x10", and can be displayed on the wall or on a flat surface with the stand on the back.

Love the mirror;do throw my name in the hat if there is still room. I love to do mirror collages. I love the viewers changing presence in the piece and also, the way the artist (in this case me) has to consider themselves in some way during the process...autobiographical to an extent but not self-portrait. This is a great idea! However, I just moved across country and have most of my stuff in storage. What I would like to do, is go into as many of the blogs as I can and sign in. If my name gets pulled by anyone as a winner, I will donate $100 to AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. If my name gets selected more than once, I will up the ante an additional $10 every time it gets pulled (greedy I know, but one can dream!!!) If my name is not pulled by anyone, I will still make a $50 donation. This way, everyone is a winner.
I hope to get my name drawn at least once.

So incredibly beautiful.
It reminds me of a mothers day photo frame experiment I made when my girls were little. I tried to infuse collage photos with natural baby flower buds. Used a promising absolutely 'clear' glue, and it didn't quite set up as expected. But the love and intent so remind me of what you've accomplished here.
